For many aspiring Americans, citizenship brings the prospect of hope and better livelihood in the United States. Yet each year, only a small percentage of permanent residents take that fateful step to citizenship because of financial and language barriers.
The New Americans Campaign was launched in 2011 to fight those barriers.
By connecting foundations with national partners and local service providers across eight different cities, the New Americans Campaign has broken new ground on citizenship strategies and reached undeniable success.
Over 87,000 completed applications in the last two years – which saved green card holders an estimated $67 million through fee waivers and legal assistance.
#NewAmericans is success for those searching for the American Dream of citizenship.
